Assigning credits to sites, free members

2010-07-19 - Q: credits are not being automatically assigned to my enabled sites, although I am a free member.

A: Credits are automatically PULLED (not assigned) from your account to a site or ad as needed. As long as you have credits on your account and your account is active (meaning you have surfed enough in the past 30 days), your sites will show.

The only members who can pull credits from their account and assign to a specific url are the upgraded members. This is primarily primarily used for credit management more than anything else.

For the free member, the regime is that one of your eligible sites is displayed once each time your turn comes up on the surf - as long as you have credits on your account, and your account is active. If both conditions are true, your site is then seen by a surfer.

Do you accept sites with Audio or Video?

2009-12-07 - Yes, on the manual traffic exchange only. Sites with self launching audio or video cannot run on the regular surf. If a site with audio or video is submitted for the regular surf, it will be rejected and deleted with a note to re-submit for the manual traffic exchange only. There are no restrictions for text ads, banners, or mini banner ads.

How to assign credits? - upgraded members

2009-12-07 - Upgraded members can assign credits to specific sites and ad spots. Go to Manage Ads Section. Find the site or ad you wish to assign credits to. Click on the ID#. You will be taken to the Manage Ad form.

Towards the bottom of the Form you find:

Your Credit Balance : Displays total # of credits on account
Use local Credits :     Check this to use only locally-assigned credits.
Credits Assigned : Positive Value only
Hourly draw :     Check this to draw more credits from your balance each hour.
Draw per hour :     Whole value only

Check the Use local Credits box.

Assign the number of credits you wish to give that ad.

You can also tell the system to pull a certain number per hour. This can help you manage your available credits.

When finished, click the Save these changes icon.

Note: when you set a site or ad on the Assigned Credits and Draw System, it OVER RIDES the default draw from credit balance. You cannot have both systems going on individual sites/ads. Once a site/ad set on the manual draw system runs out of credits, it stops showing until you manually assign credits to it again.

You can mix and match if you choose. You can leave sites or ads on the default auto draw system while having other sites/ads on the manual draw system.

How to assign credits? - free member

2009-12-07 - Free members cannot assign credits to sites and ads. The system automatically draws credits from the account to run sites and ads.

Sites denied or stopped

2009-08-04 -
Have you had a site stopped or not approved by Admin?
Please know that having a site stopped or not approved is not
personal. Admin's main responsiblility is to manage the surf and to
ensure all members can surf with as little interruption as possible.
Sometimes that need conflicts with an individual's wants. To avoid
undo surprises, it is highly recommended you do to things:

1. Test your site at Site Scanner
This is a free service. It gives you several easy to read reports.
One involves the history the site has at the VS-Ten network.
Anything below a 5 is a flag. 4 is problematic. 3 to 0 is grounds for
outright denial. The bottom report tells you about the scripts that are added to a website. It reports potential problems like known framebreaking scripts. Admin always hand tests every link at site-scanner before running the onboard tester. 2. Test your site using the onboard tester. You will see the list twice of things we cannot allow on the surf. Testing your site is a two step process. First it tests to ensure there is a site visible and that it contains appropriate content. The next test if for the surfability. It tests for pop ups, pop unders, framebreakers, dialog boxes, and other items that will interfer with the surf. If your site has anything which will interfer with the surf, it cannot go on the surf. Your choice at that point is to run it as a text or banner ad. It is always disappointing when a site is rejected. Again, it is nothing personal. If the rejection note Admin sent you does not clarify why your site was stopped or not allowed, take it to site scanner to see what it reports. Usually, you will see what the issue is without having to contact Admin. If you have thoroughly tested your site and still have questions, please contact Admin for another review. We are here to serve all members. Regards, Cherie Honeyhitz Temporary Admin Team Member

Change of Owner Reminder

2009-07-27 -
07-27-09:
This is a general reminder that there has been a Change of Owner
at Honeyhitz.com effective June 2009.

As announced previously in News+ and via email correspondence to all
members, if you currently have an OLD subscription still
current with Nicole Briscol or HoneyTree, you will need to go to your
own payment processor - whatever that may be, Paypal,
Alertpay, Moneybookers, etc. - and STOP your subscription
yourself.

Current management has NO access to Nicole's Honeytree paypal
accounts. We cannot stop or unsubscribe you for that reason.

Finding the old subscription and then canceling it yourself at your
payment processor will prevent further monies coming out of your
account. If you have failed to stop your old subscription, and money
does come out of your account to Honeytree or Nicole Briscol, you
will want to place a claim immediately with your payment
processor to recover those funds.

Paypal is basically a 2-step process. First you place your claim.
They then tell you to speak with the program/person you sent funds
to. In this particular case, their is no one to talk to. Go
immediately to Step 2 and ask Paypal to investigate and recover your
funds. You want to do this asap before your funds disappear in some
kind of black hole.

We have had one instance in July 2009 of a member who failed to stop
their subscription at their payment processor in spite of advise to
do so by current management and funds left their account to go to
Honeytree. Don't let that happen to YOU. Take action now. Go
to your payment processor and cancel any old subscription going to
Nicole Briscol and Honeytree now.

Regards,
Cherie
