How to add your Sites and Content to VS-Dir FFA Topic Pages:
FFA listings are called Entries. Entries are listed on FFA pages called Topics or Catagories. A VS-Dir may offer free entries, paid entries, and FFA Ad spots on a variety of FFA topic pages. Posting an Entry - a link and content, to a VS-Dir will vary slightly from directory to directory, depending on whether or not a specific topic is open to the public, open to members only, or restricted to Paid Entries only.
Path to adding an FFA Entry:
Sites with a VS-Dir FFA Module
Once on a TrEx site with a VS-Dir FFA page, look at the Top Menu. Go to Networks, then Site Lists. Site Lists is the main index page that displays all the Topics available in the FFA. Go to the Topic you would like to post an Entry to. Some venues will require you first log into your account to post an ffa entry. Find the hyper link that states: Want to put a site here? Click here to add a site to this topic. Click on the hyper link to add your Entry. This will bring up a form. Fill in the form and click the Submit this site icon.
Form Boxes:
Title:
This is the title of your website, service, etc. The text should fit in the space allowed in the form box.
Link:
Place the link to your website in this form box.
Description:
Character length for the description will vary for each FFA. Most of them will allow 500 or more characters, which gives you room to add relevant content for your entry. It is recommended you use keywords when describing your website or service.
Email or Member ID:
If the FFA topic is open to the Public, put a valid (working) email address in that form box. Your email will be verified. If it bounces, your ffa entry will not be approved and most likely your site (and email) will be banned in the system. These services do not harvest or share email information. Collecting email is not the purpose of the VS-Dir FFA systems. The only person who ever sees your email is the FFA webmaster. You need a valid email that really exists in order to use this advertising service.
If the FFA Topic is for Members Only, you will note that as you are logged into your account, it will automatically insert your Member ID in this field.
Keywords:
You can add a list of relevant keywords in this section. Seperate each keyword with a comma (,).
Example: free traffic, traffic exchange, autosurf traffic exchange, manual traffic exchange
Human code :
Some FFA pages may require a capcha code to prevent Bots from spamming the FFA pages. Fill in the field with the code displayed on the form.
Link Back:
Some FFA pages may require a Link Back. The Link Back does NOT have to be the same link you are entering. In the case of an affiliate link, a link back on that specific site would be impossible. A Link Back can be on any website, webpage, forum, or blog that you own. You will place a link to that specific venue somewhere on a webpage you manage. You can place a link to the directory service - or even your own affiliate link on a website or blog.
Restrictions:
It is crucial that you know what the restrictions are at any VS-Dir site before you place an Entry. Most VS-Dir venues will have a tos, or even a seperate section just for the FFA explaining what is, or is not, acceptable. Submitting entries that are not acceptable, or spamming an FFA can lead to your site being banned within the system. And, since all VS-Dir venues network together, violations can be reported to the Realm-12 Network, which could result in your venue being banned at the entire Realm-12 Network.
